3/2: Ladysmith Black Mambazo: 3 reasons to go

Together since the early ’60s, South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo gained a foothold on the U.S. mainstream after appearing on several highlights of Paul Simon’s Grammy-sweeping “Graceland,” which Simon recorded in South Africa.
Simon returned the the favor, producing 1987’s “Shaka Zulu,” their first U.S. release, which won best traditional folk recording at the Grammys.
If you haven’t spent much time exploring what they do, here are three reasons to go to their upcoming concert at Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts.
