Tonight’s concert by Kneebody — a world-traveling performing and recording quintet playing trumpet, saxophone, keyboards, electric bass and drums — will push jazz envelopes by blending tight ensemble playing with improvisations, and fusing in propulsive beats for an energetic set as sonically powerful as an arena-rock show.
