For Dianne Reeves it’s just about good music

For a singer at the pinnacle of the jazz world and a four-time Grammy Award winner in the jazz vocals category, Dianne Reeves isn’t one to get too hung up about genre labels.
Ask her about bluegrass, blues and world music acts appearing on the main stage of a festival with “jazz” in its name, and she’s just fine with that.
“It just happens,” she says. “It should just be about good music anyway. When I grew up, it was just a music festival. I just think that’s hipper.
“Just (call it) the Ottawa Good Music Festival. At the end of the day, you’re going to hear some good music.”
